I found that this morning that the Cimzia got approved by CareMark! I should be hearing from CareMark within the next couple of days to get everything set up! As you can tell I’m pretty excited about this. I honestly thought it was going to take a lot longer. Now I’m wondering what the cost is going to be. I did get a CIMplicity co-payment card from the doctor so hopefully I can owe nothing for it. But even if I have to pay like $40, I’d be ok with that. I’ll hopefully know by the end of the week what all is going on with it.
Anyone have any advice when it comes to injections? I’ve never done them before. There is a home health nurse coming out to show me how to do them at some point. But I’d love to hear what you guys have to say about them.

I don’t know about the Cimzia shots, but the Humira hurts. I ice it for a minute before I give myself the shot. I’ve found that it hurts less to do them in my belly than in my thigh, but that might not be a universal thing.
I will probably try the ice. I’m sure I’ll have to try a few different places before I find an injection site that isn’t quite as painful. My boyfriend has offered to give them to me in my ass cheek so I may take him up on that, lol.
