#FridayReads: Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon

2016-04-22 18.34.02I have not been good about doing my #FridayReads posts the last few weeks so this one may be a bit lengthy. I’ve read a handful of books the last couple of weeks. I’m currently half way through my reading challenge this year! I’ve read 32/60 books! It’s starting to look like I’m going to beat my goal if things keep going the way they are.

This week I am currently reading Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon. This is the fourth book in the Outlander series. It’s the first time I’ve read these books in a while. They’re pretty lengthy so I need to take breaks sometimes and read some other stuff. I’m still working on Chronic Resilience. I got distracted by some of the other books I’ve been reading so I haven’t read much of that book in a while.

Some of the other books I’ve read over the last couple of weeks are:

  • Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
  • Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Witch of Duva by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Demon in the Wood by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Too-Clever Fox by Leigh Bardugo
  • Little Knife by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Tailor by Leigh Bardugo
  • When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

I really wanted to finish the Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo which is why I read so many of her books recently. It was a really good series and I’m happy with how it ended! When Breath Becomes Air was a very good book. It’s about a doctor who gets terminal cancer and has to deal with the fact that he can’t cure himself. It was a really good book but if you read it you need to make sure you have tissues for the ending! It got me pretty good. It was the pick this month for book club so I will be discussing it on Sunday. It will be interesting to see what everyone has to say about it.
