I had been anticipating this book for a while and I was a bit disappointed with it. And it sucks to be disappointed with a book that you’ve been waiting to come out for a while. This series had so much building up for the ending and it felt like a letdown, to be honest.
The tone, or voice, of the story, changed. Even though it was the same author. And I haven’t really experienced that before with a book that the same author is writing. And it bugged me. A lot.
This book also felt rushed. That may have been the publishers or editors doing. But that didn’t make me happy either. So, overall, I really liked the series but I wasn’t too happy with how it ended. It ended ok, but it still left me with the feeling of “WTF just happened?!” It just wasn’t satisfying.
I read some reviews on Good Reads about this book and some people loved how it ended. So you will have to decide for yourself!
